The autopatch status is currently unknown. Digipeater report: No report. Missouri Emergency Packet Network (MEPN): No report. Emergency Coordinator's report: Rich, NØJBF reported that Joe was headed to Barbados. There are 8-9 people that volunteered for to take part in the exercise on June 3rd. It will run from around 9:15AM to 2:15PM. The exercise will consist of simulating a magnitude 7.7 earthquake in the bootheel region and testing the functionality of passing traffic to SEMA. If others are interested, please contact Rich, NØJBF; Tom, NØSS; or Kent, K9ZTV. VE Liaison’s report: Kent, K9ZTV, reported there were three exam sessions to take place after the meeting. At the last session, there were 7 successful tests with 6 upgrades and one new 14 year old licensee. CW Classes: Steve, NNØB, reported the advanced class enjoyed a nice visit since he was back in town and a good time was had by those in attendance. This class meets before breakfast at 6:45am every Saturday morning at Mel’s Country Café. Kent, K9ZTV, and Bill, W4RK, reported that the advanced and beginning classes have been working on Field Day exchanges. Bill worked as a calling station and students would copy information sent. Then the students would take turns acting as the calling station. The advanced class meets after breakfast from 9-10am at Mel’s while the beginning class meets at 10am. Training Committee: Mike, WAØZOG, reported that the Extra class study group has wrapped up and was a success. A Technician class is being investigated for later in the year or in the early part of 2011. Club Shirts/Jackets/Patches: Greg, WBØAQV, provided some information from Excalibur as a possible source. Rich, NØJBF, passed along some info from Joe from a supplier in Texas. Kevin, KCØCZI, mentioned J.P. Promotions as a possibility and Kent gave them a good recommendation. Race to the Dome: Kent, K9ZTV, reported that Nancie, KDØDDY, and Steve, KDØGRM, have gone to scout out possible locations for setting up stations along the route. The event will take place on July 3rd from 9AM to 1PM. Mayor’s Run for Reading: Kent, K9ZTV, reported that there were 8 participants providing communications for this year’s event. There were no incidents to report. The KCØCZI repeater was used to start with and then everyone switched to simplex and had no problems. SEMA Callsign: No report. Field Day: Rick, KCØPET, reported that Kent has received the updated insurance certificate. It was forwarded to the Secretary-Treasurer and put with the club records. The Porite field operating site has been confirmed and Kent has requested that they mow the site a couple days beforehand. The DPS bus will not be available. The MEROC will likely be available and confirmation is pending. A request has been made for the MEOC and Kevin, KCØCZI, added that he does not foresee any problems with getting this vehicle. Another option that Kevin proposed is using the new Field Shelter along with the MEOC. This shelter is 19’ x 35’ and could house all operating positions if needed. Rick will amend the request to include the Field Shelter and also contact the fire department (JCFD) to inquire about their command trailer as a backup option. Possible station assignments are: MEROC: VHF MEOC: CW Field Shelter: GOTA and SSB New business None Announcements: Kent, K9ZTV, reported that the Titanic special event station operation was held last month. Steve, Nancie, and Kent went to participate and conditions were lousy, but everyone still had fun. Kent mentioned that the printed circuit boards for the gel-cell battery chargers have been received from FAR Circuits.
