Also, the Net Control stations will be added to the nights they have volunteered. This is still a work in process and will be updated as time allows. The club received a card from Bill Rogers , Director of the Missouri River Regional Library thanking us for our support during the Mayor’s Run for Reading. The foundation was able to raise about $2,600. Works fine while plugged in! Digipeater report: No report. Missouri Emergency Packet Network (MEPN): No report. Emergency Coordinator's report: No report. Severe weather missed our area. VE Liaison’s report: WBØS reported that VE patches had been received and disbursed to those VE’s who expressed interest in having one. There are 4 extras available. One person is scheduled to test after the meeting. CW Class: The class is continuing and anyone interested is welcome to join in anytime. This class meets after breakfast at 9am every Saturday morning at Mel’s Country Café. Mayor’s Run for Reading: Event was held on Saturday, April 25th. Turnout was great and no incidents were reported. Training Committee: No report. Field Day: Field Day will be held on June 27th and 28th. NØVAU reported that three vehicles have been reserved. These include the MEOC, a DOT Trailer, and DHSS’s “BT Cruiser”. K9ZTV had sent an email around stating that Porite’s field has been confirmed. Station captains and backups are needed to oversee the operation of each of the four stations we plan to operate. Currently KIØY has volunteered for SSB captain with WAØZOG serving as backup, and WBØS was “volunteered” for the GOTA captain. Captains are still needed for CW, and VHF. Let NØVAU know if you are interested in serving as a captain or a backup. Another reminder email will be sent out. Food: The club will provide meat and NØSS will serve as cook. The rest of the Saturday dinner will be potluck style and everyone is requested to bring something. A sign up list will follow to avoid too many duplicate items. KCØCZI may have a grill available for us to use. Water: KDØFAS suggested that Hy-Vee may donate some bottled water to our cause. KIØY will draft a letter soliciting the donation and Roger will deliver it to Hy-Vee. Tables: K9ZTV has a tent that will be donated for the event along with a couple of tables. New business Bike MS Express Scripts Gateway Getaway Ride: This is the event formerly known as the MS-150, the annual bike ride around Mid-Missouri. It will be held on September 12th & 13th. Radio volunteers are needed for this large event and we typically have a great showing. Volunteers can register online at http://www.bikemshams.com/ Zonta 5K Run: This run is similar to the Mayor’s Run for Reading and will be held on September 19th. Volunteers are needed for this event and Kent will have more info later. Announcements: WBØAQV discussed the aspects of Radon gas in homes with basement hamshacks.
