Digipeater report: KCØCZI to visit site when he is available. Repeater is down. MEPN: No new news. Emergency Coordinator's report: KBØQHZ reported that some exercises my come up in November or December. Joe reported on a recent SEMA conference. Joe also encouraged club members to check into the 2 meter net using emergency on the first called net of each month. Church Special Event Station WØC: The event went well. About 15 club members participated and made over 200 contacts. Kent presented the church with the $150 donation. CW Class: K9ZTV and W4RK to offer a beginning CW class after Saturday morning breakfast at Mel’s Country Café. Easter Seals Walk/Run: Club members who participated commented about their experience. ZONTA Walk/Run: Club members who participated commented about their experience. Construction light set: No discussion. VE Class: Class still to meet Oct 11th from 9-12 in the JCPD training room. New business WØO: The club will operate the special event station from Frankenstein, MO again this year on Halloween. CW and SSB stations will be set up. 2 Meter amp: Bryan KØEMT asked if the club would consider purchasing his 2 meter amplifier for $275. The club has used it on numerous occupations. The club to discuss at the next meeting. DHSS Class: David KDØCCP to offer a ham class. The class may be held as early as January and he may need help from club members. Club Tracker: NØSS presented a proposal to from WNØX to update the clubs gps on the clubs tracker. The cost would be $40, the club approved the expense. Program: Jack, NØKSF demonstrated a project he recently completed. It was a sound activated skull. A servo moves the skulls mouth to audio inputs. Willis Corwin article: Kent’s (K9ZTV) article about Willis Corwin was published on the ARRL’s web page. Kent shared some email responses he received about the article.
