Approx 10db loss still occurs when the weather is cold. Digipeater report: Status unknown. MEPN: No new activity. Link between Jefferson City and St. Louis has not improved. Emergency Coordinator's report: No report. Field Day: Porite has requested proof on insurance, club to offer insurance policy. Club likely to use MEROC, MEOC, and the DPS bus. Food will be potluck style, NØSS and WA2KBZ offered to grill. Captains assigned as follows: SSB, Mark (KIØY); CW, Rick (KCØPET) and Bryan (WØESE); GOTA, Jack (NØKSF); VHF, Kevin Wren (KCØJDW)?; digital, Owen (KCØLZB) Titanic Museum: Kent, K9ZTV reported nicer weather than last year. Kent and Karl both made CW contacts at the event. Library Board walk/run: Several MMARC members helped with the event. The event took about 2 hours. The runners did recognize the help MMARC members provided. Tech Class (Highway Patrol): KØJNW still planning class, no additional details at this time. CW Class: The CW class continues to meet every Saturday, at 0645 (before breakfast), at Mel’s Country Café. New business Extra Class Study Group: Study group has started meeting Monday nights from 6:30 – 9:00 PM at the Jefferson City Police Department training room. Hill Topping: Rick, KCØPET would like to operate in on out door setting. He has invited anyone to join him. Armed Forces Day: May 10th, the armed forces will host “Armed Forces Day”. The military will communicate with Hams and a special QSL will be available. VE exams/reports: Jack, WBØB has asked for more VEs. Jack proposed organizing a “VE study group”.
