Digipeater report: No problems noted. MEPN: A tower crew has been commissioned to install the 2M and 6M antennas. Need to install radios. Emergency Coordinators report: KCØPET discussed the Missouri New Madrid earthquake exercise to be held June 19 – 21. It is unknown if any amateur radio operators will be requested for the activity. Refer to “Spotter Training” below. CW Class: The CW class continues to meet every Saturday, at 0645 (before breakfast), at Mel’s Country Café. Spotter Training: Spotter training was held March 6th and had good attendance from the MMARC (27 members), Police, Highway department, Firemen and other civilians (estimated 65 people total). The class was given by Jim Kramper of NOAA. The event gained publicity from the local newspaper and television station. License class: no report. New business: Field Day 2007: Field day was discussed for 2007. K9ZTV has contacted Porite asking for use of their field. Portie has not yet responded. Club discussed securing the use of communication vans. New Repeater: David Travis of Holts Summit has a new repeater on the air. The frequency is 444.875. It uses a positive offset and a PL tone of 127.3. Easter Seals Walk: KØJNW will be running the Easter Seals walk/run on May 19. He is needs 6 volunteers to provide communication support.
