NØSS and KAØOUV to visit repeater site. Digipeater report: No problems noted. Digi uses 145.01 and id is KØETY – JEF. MEPN: No new news. 2 meter frequency is 145.07, the digi ID will be MMJY. Emergency Coordinators report: Exercise of June 19th discussed. Local hams made a good appearance and many club members participated. Some problems were noted with traffic handling and the use of a packet station would have been helpful. Club discussed a replacement emergency coordinator; KCØSJR was discussed as a possible replacement. CW Class: The CW class continues to meet every Saturday, at 0645 (before breakfast), at Mel’s Country Café. New business: . Field Day 2007: The club discussed field day. The event went very well. The set up and tear down was fast and without problems. The club had good media coverage and results were good. Number and QSOs were 732 CW, 4 digital and 727 phone. MOHP Tech class: K9ZTV spoke was a class of about 20-30. He showed the ARRL video “Last Voice out of Kuwait”. KCØCZI presented a class on net procedures and traffic handling. KØJNW is one of the class instructors and reported that at least 10 of the students are interested in testing for their tech license. JC Police ARES station: K9ZTV to call Doug Keeney (WDØFDU) and arrange training for operators for the station. Club has decided to call the 2 meter net once a month from the station. Those who currently have access to the station are NØSS, KCØPET, KCØCZI, NNØB, and WNØX. License Class: KCØZLB would like to form a class for the Department of Health and Senior Services. She expects the class will have at least 10 students. Corwin Event QST article: Kent, K9ZTV reported that the article will likely appear in Electric Radio magazine. VE exams: None Program: Karl, WA2KBZ brought some items for show and tell (spark coil, dipole antenna he built). He provided some door prizes that were given away.
