NØSS and KAØOUV to visit repeater site. Digipeater report: KCØPET reported problems. KCØCZI to visit site and resolve any issues. MEPN: No new news. Hoping to be up by fall. Emergency Coordinator's report: Discussed replacing coordinator with KCØSJR as a possible replacement. MOHP Tech class: 24 students tested for tech license and 20 passed first time. Instructors were satisfied with ARRL training material. Possible General class discussed for the future. JC Police ARES station: K9ZTV has contacted Doug Keeney (WDØFDU) but no training scheduled. KCØPET operated 2 meter net from site July 25th. License Class: 19 people have already signed up to take the class formed by KCØZLB at the Department of Health and Senior Services. The class is to start at the end of September. NØSS, W4RK, and KCØPET have volunteered to help with the class. CW Class: The CW class continues to meet every Saturday, at 0645 (before breakfast), at Mel’s Country Café. New business: New 440 Repeater: KB4VSP reported that his new repeater is on the air and working fine. The repeater can be linked to the MMARC repeater. The repeater is located in Holts Summit. The frequency is 444.875 with positive offset and a PL tone of 127.3. Details can be found on his website, www.kb4vsp.com. The website also links the to the club website. MS Bike Ride: Radio operators are still needed to support the MS Bike ride event September 8-9. Training to be in Columbia on August 29th. Approximately 3000 riders are expected. NNØB: Steve has made it to his new home in New Mexico. His move was eventful and it was discussed. FOBB: The Flight of the Bumblebees contest was discussed. W4RK and WØESE discussed their experiences with the event. NØSS K3 testing: Tom discussed some of his experiences testing the new Elecraft K3 transceiver. He reported very favorably. Ham Fests: Joplin, August 24-25. Columbia, August 18th. St. Charles, August 19th. VE exams: None Program: KCØPET and KCØLZB demonstrated packet radio.
