New repeater is ready to be installed as soon as the Technical Committee members’ schedules converge. Digipeater report: No problems noted. MEPN: Work is underway for SEMA site. Emergency Coordinators report: Volunteers are needed for the May 20, 2006 Easter Seal Walkathon. NØROK expressed an interest in helping. KCØPET resigning as emergency coordinator to be replaced by NNØB. CW Class: The CW class continues to meet every Saturday, at 0645 (before breakfast), at Mel’s Country Café. Congratulation to Mike, KCØUZA for making his first CW QSO! New business: Life Membership: The club voted to award Roy Lilley (KØJJS) MMARC life membership due to his contributions to the club. KØETY History: NØSS discussed the history of the MMARC and Don (KØETY). Field Day: K9ZTV has sent a letter to Porite requesting use of their property for the field day site. He has not yet received a response. The club discussed making arrangements for borrowing communication trailers. Missouri QSO Party: Participates (NØSS/WØESE, WAØZOG) discussed their experience in the Missouri QSO party. Boy Scout Radio Merit Badge: WAØZOG to teach Boy Scouts Radio Merit Badge class April, 22nd. The club reviewed/discussed material used in the Radio Merit Badge class. Hamfests: Ham Bash, Kansas City, April 15th. QST April Fools: The club discussed the “April Fools” article in the April edition of QST. VE exams: Kenny Helms tested for Technician.
