Note: No meeting was held in May, 2004 due to Dayton Hamvention participation. Secretary-Treasurer’s Report Bank balance: $5, 455,91 Dues received: N9TRK, NØKSF, WBØTPN, NØOFD, N6CSS, WNØX, NØQOI, KØUWM, KIØOY, KØRPH, KCØCZI, KCØHYA—total received $275.00 (to deposit)—not included in current bank balance. Old Business: 2 meter Net Report: May 19: 7 (K9ZTV) May 26: 5 (WØESE) June 2: 6 (WØESE) June 9: 8 (KAØOUV) 2 meter Net Controllers: June 16: KAØOUV June 23: WØESE June 30: KAØOUV July 7: WØESE 2 meter Repeater Report: Tim (KAØOUV) reported that the repeater had run some time on batteries due to the fuse having been accidentally blown by the owner of the property. The fuse was replaced, and the breaker box will need to be replaced to allow the repeater to be on its own breaker, separate from the AC line for the shed in which it is housed. Motion was approved to buy a new breaker box. Tim also mentioned the need to use access code and number together to enable Auto-patch. Tim also indicated that the feedline was coming loose and should be re-secured before winter. Digi-peater Report: No problems were reported. Emergency Coordinator’s Report: Cole County ARES Rick (KCØPET) reported on: 1) CARE 04 Exercise—Mixed results in this exercise with amateur radio performing well. Kevin (KCØCZI) tested HF/VHF communication at MODOT request. 2) JUICE 04 Exercise—Upcoming exercise in August. 3) Weather activity caused Skywarn Net activation at JCPD w/Kevin (KCØCZI) running net. Emergency Coordinator’ Report: SEMA Richard (NØQOI) reported on: 1) CUSEC Exercise—No new news on the upcoming event schedule for July 29, 2004. 2) Missouri Emergency Packet Net (MEPN) 6 Meter Node Project—Project will no longer use SEMA tower but will use location in Centralia. Emergency Coordinator’s Report: Cole County Emergency Response Team (CERT) Kevin (KCØCZI) reported on the new equipment being delivered to the team. 501c3 Report (IRS Tax- Exempt Status: Tom (NØSS) reported that the application has not yet been approved. New Business: Sign Maker Request: The club did not approve a request from a sign maker that wanted to advertise on the club’s website. Antenna/Tower Request: Tom (NØSS) and Kevin (KCØCZI) agreed to take a look at antennas and towers in Boonville that have been offered to the club from an individual. City Council Proclamation: The Jefferson City Council will award a proclamation to the MMARC officers and club members on June 21 promoting Amateur Radio Week. All club members are invited. Thanks to Kevin (KCØCZI) for the invitation and the initiative. Wrenches: The club approved the payment of $12.16 to Tom (NØSS) for the purchase of three (3) sets (7/16”, ½” & 9/16”) of wrenches for the club.
